From the 1st to the 24th of December, 24 talented Manchester-based makers are joining forces to spread some festive cheer with our Manchester Makers Festive Giveaway!
Every day, a new discipline will take the spotlight – textiles, jewellery, woodwork, screen printing, 3D printing, glass, ceramics and art! Don’t miss your chance to win unique creations.
How to participate:

2. Like the giveaway post.
3. Tag a friend.
It’s that simple!
Remember, this is a celebration of local talent, so let’s keep it merry and local! Support Manchester makers and discover the joy of unique, handcrafted treasures. And hey, even if luck isn’t on your side, add your favourite maker’s masterpiece to your Christmas wish list!

The maker will unveil their giveaway post at 9 am on their nominated day. The lucky winner will be announced the next day after 9 am.

By Lisa Watson (that’s me!) Brights Velvet and Harris Tweed Patchwork Double Bed Size Quilted Throw is a 100% British Made Heritage Quilt with a Contemporary Twist. This patchwork quilt is stitched in a traditional strip design made from; grass green, candy striped red and white herringbone and red and blue tartan Harris Tweed, trimmed with retro Hemlock fabric by print designer Annabel Perrin and backed in a royal blue velvet. This reversible quilt will compliment any interior scheme and are a real colour tonic to counteract dreary days.

Personally I love autumn
the leaves turning, the brisk mornings and warm sunny days at this time of year. Of course, this is an ideal version of the marvellously problematic British weather which like many (Scottish) Mancunians I can be ever so slightly obsessive about (the weather & Manchester!) However, quilts and blankets come into their own in autumn and as well as brightening up a room with a pop of colour on the back of the sofa, or as a eye catching runner at the end of a bed, now you can start using them too!

With cosy autumnal days cuddling up in a quilt or blanket in mind, it’s exciting to be back at my friendly local Altrincham Market this weekend; Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October, as well as Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th November. On Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November, I’m really looking forward to being part of Elmslie House in Malvern, Blue Magpie Festive Fair
